Lauren K. Black, MSW, LMSW, is a Child Welfare Specialist II with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, having experience as a Permanency Planner and currently works with Family Centered Services.  She received her Masters of Social Work, Macro Concentration at Boston University, Boston, MA and her Bachelor of Arts at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT.  IN addition to her duties with DHS in continuous safety assessment of children and families through visits to foster and family homes, identifying family needs and working with a network of substance abuse, mental health, domestic violence, family support and parenting service providers as well as the courts and any other needed service, Lauren serves on the Oklahoma County Domestic Violence Post Adjudicatory Review Board, which is a statutory board designed to oversee cases of deprived children in custody.
